TTAR spoke at the 2023 Southeastern Massachusetts Libraries Legislative Breakfast on Friday, January 20. The theme was "Ensuring your Right to Read."

President of TTAR Alison Noyce and Vice-President Rhonda Baptiste spoke about the importance of diverse books, and the work TTAR does in our community. They shared about TTAR's Little Free Diverse Libraries, Community Book Clubs, and Community Conversations. The most recent Community Conversation, held at Tabor, featured a panel of librarians to talk about the importance of diverse books in their library collections and to answer questions from the community regarding recent attempts to ban books from school libraries.

The Legislative Breakfast is an important event as it connects and informs Massachusetts Legislators about the services and programs provided by Massachusetts Libraries. The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) and the Massachusetts Library Association support the legislative breakfasts.
